Hey, I am not a lumberjack, nor a fur trader, I do not live in an igloo or eat blubber, or own a dog sled and I do not know "joey", "suzy" or "jimmy" from Canada although I'm sure they are very nice people. I have a Prime Minister, not a President, I speak English and French not American, and I pronouce it "about" not "a boot". I can proudly sew my country's flag on my backpack. I believe in peacekeeping; not policing; diversity; not assimilation and that the beaver is a truly proud and noble animal. A toque is a hat and a chesterfield is a couch, and it is pronounced zed, not zee- zed! Canada is the second largest land mass! The birthplace of hockey! And the best part of North America!

- My name is Joel Matthews, I am a freshman here at the University of Detroit Mercy. I am 18 years old, I stand 6 foot 3 inches tall and weigh 190 pounds. I'm a positive, energetic, wild, athletic, humourous, daring, and fun person. I am playing men's lacrosse on an athletic scholarhsip here at UDM and I am extremly confident in my choice to attend college at UDM. I enjoy playing basketball, badminton, snowboarding, and football. I also enjoy running, hiking, and playing x-box with my fellow teammates. I am very easy to talk to and I'm very open minded.
